This is adoption

In the place where it was said to them, "you are not my people," it shall be said to them "children of the living God."
-Hosea 1:10

Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.  -1 Peter 2:10

  1. Hi Lisa,
You don't know me. I found your blog by typing in "China adoption timeline" to google because I am in that phase where I read and re-read and read again the estimated timeline in our adoption packet and search through everyone else's I can find to see where we fit in. I found yours and have kept coming back the past few days to read your blog because I connect with much of what you have written. I have twin 6 year old girls and a 3 year old boy who cannot wait to get his "baby brother" home from China. We are currently doing our biometrics in a few days and waiting for USCIS approval. I just wanted to thank you for writing it down. It is an encouragement to me and I'm sure many others. His story through your family builds faith and spurs others on. Just like Ashley Ann's family did for you it did for me as well. God speaks through His people and be encouraged He is doing so through you as well. Thank you! I'll be back to read more soon I'm sure,
    Paige

  2. Aw, Paige, this is so encouraging! Thank you for taking the time to write it. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to read it. I love that God is so big that He can use even our little blog to encourage others. I am excited about YOUR adoption journey. Do you have a blog? If so, I would be honored to follow along and pray for your family. Jack has been home almost 6 months now. I'm planning on posting a 6 month update in a few weeks. Lots of ups and downs, and God is faithful in it all!
